I’m a 100% Northern comms professional working in the public sector, helping deliver campaigns for the residents of Greater Manchester and beyond. I’ve recently embarked on my own CPD journey, becoming a CIPR Accredited PR Practitioner in just 8 months. Prior to working in strategic comms, I was a trade media journalist and former editor of Public Sector Executive, National Health Executive and Rail Technology Magazine. 

Will AI replace us? How much value can PRs bring? Is AI ready to navigate the labyrinth of public sector comms? 
 
This debate is ongoing, but it seems in the short-term: no. In the long-term: who knows? 
 
But for the here and now, Comms Heroes have the chance to carve the way forward in hybrid working, especially in increasingly complex political systems.  
 
This session will look at how a blend of AI and automation is key to supporting small-team campaigns, but why human intuition, diplomacy and experience are still vital to navigating the nuance of public sector comms.
