Michael Lowdon has been a member of the CIPR since 2021 and won the ‘Outstanding Young Communicator of the Year’ Award at the CIPR Excellence Awards 2022, thanks to work promoting clinical COVID-19 vaccine studies during the pandemic. He is also currently completing his CIPR Professional PR Diploma.

 

Michael has worked within healthcare communications roles since 2017, working in both in a NHS Foundation Trust and within the National Institute for Health and Care Research. Before beginning his career in communications, he worked as a freelance journalist and later within digital marketing, having previously studied Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland.

 

Alongside developing his career, Michael enjoys cycling out into the North East countryside, trying to shave off a few extra seconds from a new running PB or enjoying some R&R with his partner Hollie and their two dogs.
