Dr Martina Topić

Dr Martina Topić is a senior lecturer in public relations at Leeds Business School, Leeds Beckett University. Before joining academia, she worked as a journalist and entrepreneur. She researches journalism practice, ecofeminism, corporate social responsibility, and women’s studies (with a particular focus on women practitioners and their experiences in journalism, advertising, and public relations). She leads the EUPRERA project on Women in PR and she is a research lead for the #WECAN (Women Empowered through Coaching and Networking) project funded by the Department of Work and Pensions and European Social Fund.

 

She is editor-in-chief of Corporate Communications: An International Journal (Emerald), editor-in-chief of the book series ‘Women, Economics and the Labour Relations (Emerald), and she holds advisory and external examining positions in the UK, Portugal, and Georgia (Tbilisi). She is currently training to become an organisational coach (ILM Level 3), with plans to continue to ILM 5 (business coach) to make a more meaningful impact on the lives of women and equality in the organisational setting.
