Amanda Holdsworth
For the last 22 years, Dr. Amanda Holdsworth, APR has led the PR, communications, marketing and digital efforts of public and private K-12 schools, colleges and universities. A former assistant professor of PR and marketing in Canada and the U.S., she now leads Holdsworth Communications, a strategic comms and branding firm specializing in the education and non-profit sectors.
Amanda earned both a Master of Arts in Strategic Public Relations and a Doctor of Education in Organizational Change and Leadership from the University of Southern California. Her post-doc research in organizational culture, burnout and employee engagement has been featured in multiple global publications and she has been profiled in Forbes, Inc., Fast Company, Thrive and USA Today.
The proud mom of two curious, creative and crafty school-aged kiddos, Amanda is also the founder of The Comms Mom, a blog and online community with more than 15,000 participants worldwide, supporting the career ambitions and lives of mothers working in communications roles.
