Julia Streets is a champion of fintech entrepreneurship, innovation and diversity.

 In 2007,  Julia founded Streets Consulting, the business development, marketing and communications consultancy.  She and her team advise  a wide range of international firms from early stage startups to some of the world’s largest financial institutions.   

Prior to founding Streets Consulting in 2008, Julia was global head of communications at NYSE Technologies where she served on the Executive Committee, European head of marketing and sales development at Instinet Europe and was head of eCommerce for a City PR agency during the dotcom boom. 

In 2017 Julia launched the podcast ‘DiverCity Podcast’ talking diversity and inclusion in financial services.  On each episode,  industry luminaries shine a light on positive progress, call out areas requiring further focus and offer insights and best practice to help listeners drive change. Brummell Magazine, known as the ‘City’s little black book’, has recognised Julia a number of times – as one of their 30 Inspirational Women Influencers, one of 30 Inspirational Women Entrepreneurs and one of 30 Inspirational Women on Boards.  This year Julia was listed as one of the top 100 women in fintech globally by 100 Women in Finance.

Julia is called upon to host and MC many public and private industry events around the world interviewing and chairing discussions with many of the world’s leading executives and public figures.  She is also called up as a speaker, auctioneer and gala host drawing  on her experience as a stand-up comedian.  Julia has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for many years, tread iconic comedy boards including the world famous London Comedy Store and her one woman show ‘Streets in the City’ sold out. Julia is the author of ‘The Lingua Franca of the Corporate Banker’  lampooning corporate jargon and has been a columnist and contributor to many industry publications. 

Julia is proud to serve as a trustee of the charity ‘Street Child’, is a Fellow of the transatlantic leadership fellowship: The British American Project and is a founder member of the PowerWomen Network.

Feven has almost fifteen years’ experience in consumer comms, with expertise across print, digital and broadcast. Feven started her career in house at National Geographic Channel and then moved agency wide working on celebrity management, FMCG brands as well as travel brands including leading campaigns for Kennedy Space Centre. Feven currently works across several household name brands and leads a team to drive media coverage and brand fame for consumer clients.


Emmanuel Ofosu-Appiah

Emmanuel Ofosu-Appiah is UK PR Manager for Mercer and currently based in London. He is a driven media relations and corporate communications professional and has been in the field of Public Relations for over nine years.

Emmanuel helps his stakeholders with reputation management and profile building and supports the UK team develop and execute PR strategies to further amplify Mercer’s voice in the market. Prior to joining Mercer, he worked at leading PR agencies in London including; Kekst CNC, a global communications agency, advising clients across the financial and professional services arena.

Before that he served as Senior Consultant at FTI Consulting providing strategic communications advice to real estate firms.  Emmanuel is also a Board Trustee of South Quay College a free alternative provision school based in East London. He is an advocate for diversity in communications and regularly speaks on the topic.


Katharina Auer

Katharina is an internationally recognised strategic business communicator and employee engagement expert and a certified Lean Sigma Green Belt.

She is currently working on consultancy projects focusing on digital and other change and engagement. Previous roles include Head of Internal Communications and Engagement at ABB, Zurich Insurance, Rio Tinto, Shell, AstraZeneca and Corporate Communications Lead at GE Capital EEF. Katharina has worked in Nigeria, South Africa, Hong Kong, the UK, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.

She is also non-executive Director of the Boat Race Company Ltd.

Kevin Ruck is the co-founder of PR Academy and is their course leader for the CIPR Internal Communication Diploma. He is the editor and co-author of the respected text book ‘Exploring Internal Communication’ published by Routledge which includes an AVID framework for good and ethical internal communication practice. Kevin is currently conducting research into the ways that organisations listen to employees.

She has an MA in Communication Management, and is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), where she is also a board director and Chartered PR practitioner.
