Calling all Midlands commsHEROS: it’s time to enter the CIPR Midlands Awards
19 November 2025
You only have to look at recent commsHERO blogs to see the impact awards schemes have on morale and motivation. Winner or nominee, having your work recognised by your peers is a massive boost and encourages us all to continue to create and innovate.
That’s why CIPR Midlands has launched a new regional awards scheme. Stretching across the centre of the country, we’re calling on Midlands-based agencies, in-house teams and independent practitioners to shine a spotlight on their best work. With 24 categories to choose from – from campaigns to crisis management, podcasts to publications – there’s ample opportunity to showcase the work you’re most proud of.
We can’t wait to reveal the winners in April 2026 at the fabulous Book Rotunda in Birmingham, the perfect backdrop to a celebration of comms talent.

Why regional recognition counts
We may not be short of award schemes in PR, but with up to 100,000 people working in communications across the UK, there’s a lot of good work that deserves attention. Regional awards give us the chance to celebrate the excellent work that takes place outside London and show tomorrow’s practitioners that there are great career opportunities wherever they live.
The Midlands is a large region – and the CIPR Midlands Awards is a great way to bring us together, build stronger connections and share ideas. But we need your input to make it happen. If you or someone you work with is Midlands-based, take a look at https://www.ciprmidlandsawards.co.uk and start planning your entries! The entry process is super simple, and you have until 9 Jan 2026 to take advantage of the early bird entry deadline. The standard deadline is 30 Jan 2026.
So, what are you waiting for? Get those entries in now, and let’s look forward to more stories of commsHERO success and celebration.
Huge thanks to our fabulous awards sponsors for making the CIPR Midlands Awards possible: Next Level Recruitment, epresspack, Unique Venues Birmingham, University of Birmingham, 72 Point Group and Press Loft.
