Nina Piotrowska

With a Bachelor’s degree in Media and Communications and 4 years of experience covering marketing, digital media, advocacy for mental health, and youth initiatives, Nina emerges as a go-to professional for driving impactful change through creative and digital avenues.
Nina’s passion for communications ignited during her childhood, when she found joy in creating short films. This early spark led her to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Media and Communications, laying the foundation for her career in the industry.

Throughout her academic journey, Nina actively contributed to university societies, serving as the Promotional Secretary for the Yoga Society and as the Equality and Diversity Officer for Students Against Sexual Harassment and Assault (SASHA). These experiences cultivated her commitment to social causes and shaped her understanding of the power of communication in driving positive change.
Driven by her own experiences with mental health, Nina emerged as a resilient advocate for mental health. Her journey has been deeply influenced by her involvement in projects such as the Attune project, a participatory arts-based exploration of young people’s mental health following adverse childhood experiences, MindMate (NHS) and the CREATE project with the University of Leeds. These experiences have fueled her passion for using communication as a tool for healing and empowerment, especially among young people.

Upon graduation, Nina embarked on her professional journey at Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Partnership, where she served as a Marketing and Communications Officer for the Healthy Minds priority area. Here, she honed her skills in leveraging digital platforms and social media to promote mental health awareness and support services available for people across Bradford District and Craven. In this role, Nina collaborated closely with charities such as Mind in Bradford, as well as public-facing bodies such as the NHS and Bradford Council.
